But now that I'm older. . .

On the eve of my 30th birthday I sat down with my sister, kb, and composed a list of thirty 'things' I wanted to accomplish/see/do/experience over the next 12 months. That list consists of everything from monumental personal goals (a move, inner happiness) to practical or whimsical "to-do's" that may seem easy but are no less important to me. Half-way into the 12 months, I decided to document my experiences. My list is below. Welcome to Chapter Thirty.

30 in 12
1. Apartment in Manhattan
2. A pair of Manolos
3. Help build a house. . . again
4. Travel to a United States city that I've never been
5. Get on stage with a band
6. Get waaaaaay out of my comfort zone. (Could have something to do with #1.)
7. Ride a horse
8. Run a marathon
9. Travel to a country that I've never been
10. Learn how to grill
11. Develop a working knowledge of Champagne
12. Grow out my bangs
13. Get off the elevator on Floor 12 at Conde Nast
14. Learn how to make a proper Manhattan. . . with a cherry
15. Stay well informed on current events
16. Listen more. . . talk less
17. Be happy in my work
18. Write more
19. Tithe more
20. I will read five books cover-to-cover (in a timely fashion)
21. Learn to let things go
22. Learn to perfectly slice an onion - chef-style
23. Pray more
24. Stay up all night and watch the sunrise
